We are planning a Veterans race at the Veterans Memorial Park in Calverton, for Memorial Day weekend. We'd like to form a veterans committee to help us with this and other projects. We have a discounted membership for Veterans and active service members. Veteran supporters are invited to serve on the committee as well.
Island Running is also active on our trails. Runners and Hikers are invited to join the club and serve on a trails committee. We currently work and hike the Paumanok Path, the Veterans Memorial Path and we are working on connector trails in the Riverhead and Brookhaven. LI Trails Newsletter
